You still don’t get it…the owner decides who he is going to pay and have represent the club he owns and basically since Penn has taken over all he has created is a circus…if you are fine with that then each to their own but frankly I want to see a well coached balanced squad that wins a lot more than they lose and I haven’t seen that with Penn

You might want to ask some of the great players you mention on here what they honestly think of the giraffe and as for my comments..I am pretty certain they will be active long after the giraffes nrl departure

None of those players playing along side him have won a Premiership
None of those players have consistently won
Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Gordon Willoughby Medal – Members Player of The Year: 2013, 2018, 2020, 2023, 2024
None of those players have won the Grand finals best player Clive Churchill Medal: 2013
None of those players have won Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Roy Bull Best and Fairest: 2017, 2020, 2023 on three occasions
None of those players have played in more Manly finals than DCE

A colleague of mine spoke to someone considered very high in the Roosters hierarchy today, and the information received was that there has been no contract or agreement as of yet.
As it stands, the Roosters would gladly sign DCE for one year only for $1M, however DCE wants 2 years guaranteed and is willing to go as low as 700k per season to make this happen.
This is as much info as I know, feel free to disregard it. Just telling you what I heard.

I was saying something very similar late Sunday afternoon.

What was "agreed too", sorry what I mean to say "what DCE was sold" very early on in the piece is completely different to what is in play now.

His management team have been shown a lesson or two in the subtle art of negotiations by the upper echelon at the Roosters.

They have, effectively, ensured that they are the only participant in the marketplace for DCE and as we all know, when there is only one, they set the terms and conditions to which the other party either willing accepts or, begrudgingly has to accept.

Welcome to the latter DCE.

Some random medals.. being a captain... he had wins for qld and aus. What did he do for the club that made him the best paid player from 2014 to 2025? Nothing.

Arguably, his 1.2 million dollar pay packet (plus Turbo and Jake's combined salaries) has cost us a premiership or two. DCEs' demands certainly cost us more than he ever delivered, that's for sure.

If you stop Generalising and Look at the stats though out the DCE career at Many and you will find that Manly has least Wins % without DCE
