Very very unlike him to do that , yes I think he can’t wait for the first week of September ( mind you he’s not the only one ).

A colleague of mine spoke to someone considered very high in the Roosters hierarchy today, and the information received was that there has been no contract or agreement as of yet.
As it stands, the Roosters would gladly sign DCE for one year only for $1M, however DCE wants 2 years guaranteed and is willing to go as low as 700k per season to make this happen.
This is as much info as I know, feel free to disregard it. Just telling you what I heard.

When DCE tells the world it's always been his dream to play for the chickens. Was he ever going to say he's signed on for $$$$$. At the chickens they play golf. And what the number is on your contract isn't really significant is it. $$$$$ talks thou.

I still believe he is playing within himself part there of because of the back injury, it may be coincidence along with his announcement timing but he hasn't played the same since.

Just like Kapow when he got knocked senseless and never truly regained his confidence or play style. DCE may have subconscious concerns with his back that is holding him back.

Both DCE and Kapow from the same camp and both of them have a career of statistical passmarks

From a point in time, both of them became glimpses of themselves even though the stats supported otherwise.

DCE runs with the ball tally are as laughable as handbrake marty is in the metre dept. job done, impact when needed…..meh. No doubt he tempered his tacking after lengthy suspensions
