He wouldn't want the hard slog that would be coming his way, and all on him for another full NRL season at Saints.Dragons have said this week they are chasing a Marquee 7 , DCE has links with Flanno ??

Karma's a bitch isn't it!LOL Deardon player of series. Ain't that another kick in the guts DCE.
That is quite telling isn't it. And there certainly weren't any "look I feel a bit for DCE" quotes after the game.Interesting that ponga & a few other players used during the series where in the Qld camp last night. All barring DCE. Sour grapes 🍇 🤷♂️
There’s heaps of things about Daly’s game that are superior to Deardon and Tommy has a long way to go to be considered a generational player. He’s 10 years younger than Daly and his time is now. He deserved to be picked and played well. He certainly does take the line on and gave QLD the energy they needed…but there’s a lot of context to consider beyond a simple comparison of the two players, given the stages they’re at in their careers.Deardon challenges the line, dce does not, he flirts with the line and touches it often enough per game to keep his stats ticking over
Deardon is like tooves , a bit down in the skills but just one of the best players out there in the basics, Always asks questions of the defence, leads chase and is super quick over 20
Dce just keeps defensive lines moving laterally as he instinctively crabs , but they can sit back and know he wont run it, he will pass late to oku , or submit , but he wastes precious footy time with the ball in his hands being nothing but fancy. For mine it highlights his footy IQ is not anything like his on screen persona . Its very barrett whiteboard **** results footy speak ,inside shoulder bla blah
And some want him as a coach .
He is quick off the mark but he too often positions himself away from the action. He should be backing up the middle fwds now and then and not just the fullback in the clear like tom does looking for offloads, or having a dash at a half gap more than he does. Seems to have a “not my job” attitude toward that stuff in general , where deardon is ultimate team amigo
Big tommy deardon fan
Daly has way more tools, its how or when he chooses to use them that makes it hard for me to ever consider him a generational player if thats the implication . Isn’t that because they are injured? I’d imagine if Ponga was dropped he wouldn’t be there.Interesting that ponga & a few other players used during the series where in the Qld camp last night. All barring DCE. Sour grapes 🍇 🤷♂️
Big mo was there.Isn’t that because they are injured? I’d imagine if Ponga was dropped he wouldn’t be there.
DCE is a running five eighth, not a halfback. He’s more Laui than Cleary, more Munster than Dearden. His game just isn’t suited to team organising, more off the cuff. Pity it took us 15 years to realise.Deardon challenges the line, dce does not, he flirts with the line and touches it often enough per game to keep his stats ticking over

Sooking , like he is with ManlyAxed Queensland veteran Daly Cherry-Evans nowhere to be seen as Maroons clinch State of Origin in underdog fashion
Pretty weak, unless he is away on a holiday. Just more news centred around DCE, post game. Just how he likes it.Sooking , like he is with Manly
Know what you're sayin', but can see Cherry's point of being a no show, he would of known that Dearden would of been in the mix for motm and the series, in his old position. And he wasn't wrong..lol.Interesting that ponga & a few other players used during the series where in the Qld camp last night. All barring DCE. Sour grapes 🍇 🤷♂️
Nah we are on the bye, so pretty ordinary if you ask me.I find it funny that he was critiqued for not retiring from origin in the 1st place to focus on manly & now that he skips going to the decider that would of course include celebrations & a late night of drinking to focus on the rest of this season with manly he is also in the wrong. Can’t win with the journo’s
