DCE PUTS ENERGY INTO DRINK

Daly Cherry-Evans is already planning for life after the Sydney Roosters.

The Manly Sea Eagles skipper and ex-Wallabies star Quade Cooper have recently invested into a sports energy drink business.

They are on board with one of Australia’s fastest growing companies Hyro; the hydration drink company taking on global heavyweights like Gatorade and Powerade.

The company in Australia is fronted by entrepreneurial couple Steve Chapman and Taylor Bird.

Cherry-Evans and Cooper was seen last week shooting a Hyro commercial in Sydney.

Both have invested their own money into the company.

Cherry-Evans, 36, is quitting Manly at the end of the season for a stint at the Roosters... and Friday night’s loss to Melbourne Storm showed why he’s needed.

The Roosters led 30-28 after 66 minutes but couldn’t close down the game.

Agree that SJ is also a good commentator…
At first I thought what the... is Johnson doing on the panel of 'expert' commentators until I heard what he had to say. He made sense and I found myself nodding in agreeance.
The other thought I had was that Ryan Hoffman must be too busy.

In general, I'm not a fan of Joey Johns, yet I'm finding him to be improving as a commentator.
If, like me, you make your own comments whilst watching the game, I've found Joey repeating what I've just said a couple of seconds earlier.
Either we are both genius or both wrong.
I actually think Joey's personality is relaxing and the drugs he took some decades ago are starting to kick in.
Like him or not, I think he is very funny and he sits on the couch like a man should(Freddy & The 8th)
Though he does talk too much about his 'wild' antics and how 'cool' he was when he was younger.
Of all the past players, Joey should be a Coach, yet he has said many, many times that he will never, ever be a Coach.
Joey has a funny, cheeky personality compared with the Robotic monotone Cronk.
I do miss the tongue in cheek, head wobble from the very intelligent Paul 'Fatty' Vautin.
Go Manly!!

I actually can’t stand Cronk.
With you there. Obviously has big wraps on himself. Horrible voice that just grates. Might think he is super insightful, but it’s just all about playing the boring as bat **** way he did all those years - field position, setting up for the next play, kicking to the corners. BORING. And I always think back to that personal website he used to have. Cringe AF.

Agree with all of that really… Joey does annoy me when he plays devils advocate during SOO - I think it is how he attempts to be ‘balanced’ sometimes (by advocating for a ruling for the opposition that he knows they cannot get now)…
But generally I like listening to him… Cronk is very monotone and not much of a ‘story teller’ but the guy obviously has a highly tactical mind and I feel more knowledgeable about the mechanics of the game for having listened to his take… similar thoughts about Shane Flanagan and I don’t mind Mick Ennis either…
Can’t stand Brandy who death rides teams during games (always wants to predict teams can/will/may lose from here given their record) and I think he comes across as a bit of a d*ck… and I love Brad Fittler but he is 9/10 of useless as a commentator and much more suited to a podcast setup…

Thought the first half from the pack was absolutely outstanding tbh.

Second half, the fatigue definitely showed.
This has always been what's made Cherry such a maddening footballer for me. In tight, tough games like this was shaping up to be (and was for much of the game), he lets teams off the hook with poor kicks or poor options. Whatever efforts our players put in, they get nothing for it.

Wow. Can't wait till forgery gets here. He's really going to help the piss poorly coached team we have. It's going to be epic. We actually have a top 16 roster of absolute superstars playing out of their skin and yet old DCE just looses every game all by himself. What a wanker eah.

It's going to be like a mixture of the second coming of christ and Moses partingvthe waters in 2026 under supercoach seibold and team.

And in case you missed my sarcasm im just letting you know I'm being sarcastic.

Good thing you flagged it at the end there.. it was so subtle
