Firstly, blowing up in the media about a potential abandonment of MWSE local pathways in the off-season, and Blacktown doing all of them instead. Instead, the exact opposite happened, and Blacktown is no longer affiliated with us in any capacity.

Secondly, DCE. Fairly obviously he was a major reason for his departure, and you can find enough reliable info on here and elsewhere to back this claim up.

Thirdly, he's been undermining Seibold for the entire year.

While his intentions are good, Choc is a strong character and can be incredibly abrasive. I suspect he's been part of the reason, and unfortunately, he likely won't rest, until he is either sacked (unlikely I feel) or Seibold / Mestrov are gone. Getting Ballin this off-season, which seems incredibly likely, may settle him down a bit.

Have to say the roosters halves tonight weren’t great. I can actually see DCE contributing something over there.

Yep. Can never get enough early tackle count kicks when your team is not expecting them, let alone wasted opportunities in the red zone… like kicking over the dead ball line on the 3rd with nobody knowing what’s going on. Or perhaps, no organisation as he runs around in circles, forcing his power forwards on the edge to stop and start with zero momentum…

Or, let’s add in the arm grabbing or shooting off the line in defence to leave your outside team mates guessing…. 🤷‍♂️

Thankfully, we got far less missing touch with penalty kicks this year.

That would probably go off as well as the famous Optus TV balloon stuff up back in the Superleague days.
