What a shame, a news filth grand final, must be time to rearrange the sock drawer lol, i can't think of a worse match up, the two teams i totally despise!

Ironic that the gutless decision not to send off Walsh in the semi final, resulting in him winning that game and the decisive play today, it sux that he got away with it!

Penrith had their chances, the intercept no try is now very contentious, i thought play on, credit to Brisbane for defence when they were behind, it gave them the chance to win.

You see how far we are behind the top teams!!

Your last line is the killer all finals series specially tonight shows how far away as a club we are now. You need young power forwards and backs with speed.

I hope I am wrong, Penn sells sometime soon and we start the long long rebuild but I can see it being 5-10 years before we even look like competing again, other teams/ clubs are getting their act together us very amateur right now.

I learn something about Rugby League in the 2 x preliminary games

1. The storm game taught me that your spine players 1,6,7,9 must run the ball, to create the best chances to score tries. Munster, Hughes, Papen, grant, all showed this. at manly, brooks, simpkins, DCE just passes the ball.so boring and so easy to defend against.

2. Penrith would have won had Brian T'O was a bit taller. Reece Walsh wouldnt have been able to float the pass for that winning try. This is why i am a stickler for tall wingers, like the roosters Toupou and marky mark. It is also a reason why I think, as good as Koula is for his size, he is a liability. On the other Hand, Saab (tall) is better.

Did Koula pinch your girlfriend or something? He’s a liability 😂😂😂…yeah ok super coach!

Good game, terrible result, hilarious reading some of the comments in this thread, not looking forward to next Sunday, but will get behind the Donkeys regardless, the Purple scum will be the fav’s, I could never go for them and will be death riding them all game.

I’m the opposite. As much as I dislike the purple scum, I really can’t stand the donkeys. They are probably the worst two teams I would ever want in a granny. 😭

Mam sent out there to do one thing very few have been able to do….get under Clearys cool persona, and he did when he got Cleary and Mad dog completely off their game. I’ve never seen Cleary lose his cool like that before. That moment right there was the turning point of Penriths downfall. Smart coaching by Madge. That pressure kick from Reynolds was class.

Interesting that for the previous 29 weeks of the comp that if you touch/tackle a kicker without him having a leg on the ground it's a penalty.
Yet today it's okay and not only that you get the penalty for the opposition retaliation.
To be fair l thought Atkins had a pretty average game - was confident enough to call McLean offside on his intercept yet missed Willison's cannonball and deemed the Mam tackle on Cleary okay.🤷‍♂️

The last time there was a Melbourne vs Brisbane NRL Grand Final.....Manly played in 4 of the next 7 GF's and won 2 of them.
