The Good, the bad and the ugly NRL podcast

Hi Silvertails fans,
Many of you may remember a regular column which featured on Silvertails for some years called The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, written by CF2 is back.
These were brilliant passionate critique's of each Manly game and received many, many positive comments and followers.
CF2 is in fact a loyal Manly Member of 25 years named Rod James, and this season he and a mate Dave Kelly have branched out and launched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly NRL Podcast.

It's a great listen with loads of tongue in cheek good, bad and ugly humour covering each round of the NRL, and after just 7 weekly episodes is getting excellent reviews on iTunes such as a Tigers fan Justin who wrote: "this is hands down the best NRL podcast out there".

The guys really need to grow a listener base to continue producing the 30 mins episodes so tune in and spread the word.

Genuine question: how do all these people make money from their podcasts if they're free? In often wonder, given the sheer number of them.

Advertising can be lucrative. There are usually two or 3 models

1 - Direct podcast sponsorship (Gimlet do this quite a bit)
2 - Basic placements within the podcast
3 - Use the podcast as a means to drive traffic somewhere

Have really missed The Good The Bad and The Ugly reports from CF2 so just had a listen and this podcast is definitely gold from CF2 aka Rod. Hope the guys get a big following it's definitely a fun listen and great quality sound too. Good to hear an honest subjective view on our team (no point sugar coating our last 3 weeks) and it's a fun review of all the games. Nice one!
