cf2 is back
Reserve Grader
CF2 here on holiday in Italy. I was only able to hear last weeks Bris loss and tonights mega semi win via 2GB live stream, so without being able to see the action on tele I can't really do a report justice.
But having done several laps around my hotel room this afto yelling my head off, I can't sign off without saying the following:
THE GOOD:
An old cliche but it's how you face adversity that really counts. Obviously the first half was as bad as it gets but the 0-8 wasn't the problem, it was simply all down to how we reacted to Des' no doubt massive serve.
To have hit back and won 22-8 would have been an awesome reaction and result, but to totally blow them to pieces by 42-0 in the 2nd half is beyond exceptional. A truly sensational comeback in every way.
I believe the week off will now be the vital factor in us winning the comp, with the motivation to win our week 3 semi and get Glenn back for the GF now triply huge. We will be coming out fresh, mean and hungry. Can't wait.
THE BAD:
Obviously the first half but when you play like that in the 2nd it's irrelevant.
THE UGLY:
The crowd of under 14,000. Was that a non Brookie game protest? Seems incredible we couldn't get 20,000 to the SFS.
Sorry for the short report, but this is one very, very happy CF2 signing off from Italy, and even happier that I miss nothing next weekend and will be back for our mega week 3 semi!
Arrivederci and Go Manly!
