We also have a hooker on the coaching staff that is being touted as a possible candidate to take over as head coach,due to his apparent knowledge of the game,yet very little improvement in the dummy half area has been seen

Just doesn't give good service from dummy half, slow in passing that sets up the opposition for a big hit on the intended ball runner.

I think he hangs in the squad based on energy, enthusiasm, team player mojo and we have no one else but he doesnt look to be progressing much

Super League is full of ex NRL players that were probably to small for the NRL, so id say youre right. Mason Lino, Bevan French, Jai Field, Abbas Miski,Dufty etc. Gordie is probably too small for the NRL.

If we end up missing Da Silva, Croker retiring, and Simpkin our primary hooker next year, then we are going to need an injury cover / back up. GCKT might have some importance for us yet.

Muagututia is into the Top 30 next year iirc. It's not exactly fantastic to have a debutant as your third string hooker, but it's better than 2022 and 2023, when we had a rookie fullback doing it.

I think we won't be signing hookers for a while if we get TDS. It'll be middles, middles, more middles, and maybe an edge.
