As a Dogs fan I am pretty happy today, albeit a little worried. Hopefully this is where the drama in Forans life ends. It might be a lot to hope for but I am hoping all the same.
I hope for that too, as would most fair-minded Sea Eagle fans, though not all will admit it.
Good luck with the shot hamstrings and bung shoulder though.
Haha, you just bought a lemon and you get Eddie Hayson for free, along with the steak knives.

I hope he gets his life on track.

Couldn't care less if he never plays another game of footy.

Is it just me or does he look as though he can't run. I reckon his hammies are shot and he is off to the Dogs for a nice superannuation payout. He has picked the club he hates most to rip off.

Power to him.

I wouldn't say we are on the same level as the Roosters for attempting to buy a premiership, they have a history of buying up other clubs marquee players where as this is a pretty rare thing for the Bulldogs.

Not sure how Manly would get mentioned in that vein, I wouldn't personally say that, at least not in recent times. If anything Manly have lost more than they have gained personnel wise lately.

We got close in 2012 and missed our opportunity. We have been on a steady decline ever since that year and something had to give. Reynolds is pure Bulldog spirit, but we need a change. It is sad to see him go but it was clear we have no chance of winning anything with our current spine. Foran is a massive upgrade on Reynolds, and it seems like we are getting Foran for less than what Reynolds wanted from us. So I don't think we have wasted money on this, if anything we have saved money and improved.

Mbye can now be the running half we all know he is.

Foran is a volatile character, but sometimes you have to take a punt.
I agree with a little bit of that, but honestly lately you guys are the marquee poaching specialists. And if you think Foran is coming on the cheap then think again. This bloke is completely money driven, but the media paints him as a saint that only plays for father figures (see Brad Arthur) and his family. The bloke loves money full stop, if he wasn't interested in getting more money he wouldn't gamble. Good luck with him!

Yeah bob I see that he now has a funny gait where he doesn't stride out or let his legs go back very far when running. Lots of little quick steps. It was particularly obvious in the test when he ran about 20 metres across field behind the try line attempting to get back to the field of play.

Didn't look promising.

Also, if he wanted to re-unite with his long lost father figure Des Hasler as the media keep telling us, then why didn't he do it 2 years ago when he had the chance and the Dogs wanted him. I will tell you why, Money thats why!
5 years ago he had a 'get out clause' and could have left with Dez

Fiz's dithering is what drives him crazy as he tries to control all aspects of life.

Life is not to like that and that's why we evolve

This bloke what a train wreck he become, i mean what a wasted talent.
As supporters we need to now close the book he wont be back. 4 clubs in 4 years says it all, he wont ever be a club legend anywhere compare him to thurston, smith or even legends of past with us snake, killer.
I imagine the players cant wait to hear questions how his personal life is going over and over. A shelfish human much like the coach he joining not remorse here he joined the club that derailed our 2011 premiership celebrations.
I hope its a total failure

My last comment on this thread before As I read it for the last time is that he could have been a great and left his legacy on the game if he stuck true with us

Alas he has completely missed that opportunity And will now be remembered for the wrong reasons

Hey mate, thanks for taking the time to post here.

I admit, when Foz left us under the circumstance at the time, I was filthy. Mainly because he's such a damned good player & competitor. You absolutely got a wonderful player, who can control (especially the left) the play and team.

One thing about The modern Dogs, is your forwards all have the ability to play the ball, rather than run the ball, and sometimes, I think that's a detriment to your overall structure. Foz will help straighten that attack & make it much more direct - and I honestly think he'll be a key force behind a push to a GF at some point.

In my heart of hearts, I had a small hope we'd get him back here (warts and all). In my old age, I've kind of learn't that nobody is perfect, and everyone is prone to mistakes. If you get a Foz with his head screwed on, you have a top 3-4 five eight in the world in my opinion.

I could have him back in the sense that I could forgive the way he carried on when he left.

But I doubt he could ever put his heart into playing for Manly ever again, so I don't want him anywhere near a Manly jersey.

Eddie Hayson will be pleased

It won't be long before the two reunite again albiet more covertly than previous meetings

Once that happens Foran will go into the downward spiral
again as hayson is toxic

There is a real pattern here of desperately seeking a father figure to be close to.

Hasler, Arthur and Hayson

He also cannot handle high expectations and the pressure of parra supporters expecting him to be the next Peter Sterling

The dogs supporters expectations will be even higher than parra supporters and if he and Des don't deliver a premiership in the next 3 years they will have a jihad put on them

My bet is Foran will crumble again under the pressure of expectation and his busted body that won't be able to perform like he wants

Cannot wait to have the sly grin wiped of Haslers face

Mate you are 100% right but i think its all about the money money money for this bloke now and where the Next TAB is ,his playing for love ended many moons ago ... he doesnt care for us nor should we for him ,on the football field that is .

FORAN’S STRICT CONDITIONS

Kieran Foran’s return to Sydney to link with the Bulldogs will not signal the end of the strict conditions that were written into his contract when he signed with the Warriors after a 2016 season blighted by off-field issues, reports The Australian.

Foran is currently banned from making contact with notorious punter Eddie Hayson and is not allowed to use other people’s betting accounts.

According to the report, the NRL will insist Foran continues to keep his distance from Hayson once back in the Harbour City and his gambling will be strictly governed.
