So many talk about how we need a Manly man (teehee) as coach. Currently, there is no chance. Probably the closest would be Chad Randall who seems to be making his way through, what should always be, a very long apprenticeship.

Not possible then BUT we do have plenty of Manly DNA that is not being utilised apart from the odd jersey presentation. Oh yay!

The club really should form a brains trust. It's accepted that companies have a Board of Directors to oversee their particular joints, why wouldn't we have a Board of Football directors who offers counselling on everything from recruitment, to playing structures, to obvious weaknesses and how to fix them. We are not short of strong footy brains ...

Some options to have a Manly man as our next coach could include:

(a) Des Hasler;
(b) Nathan Cleary;
(c) Matt Ballin;
(d) Chad Randall;
(e) Michael Monaghan.

But yes, I agree with you - Buckley's to no chance on any of the abovementioned candidates.

I'm actually happy to hear about some "crisis" talks....I was starting to think the fans seem to care about these results more than those playing and making the decisions ....
The interesting thing now, will be the response over the next couple of games at Brookie, because talk can be cheap and the action speaks louder than words, is a very true theory.
I still feel Tooves who took over a sinking ship, when Des ditched us (though he had a great squad of players) done a great job after taking over and definitely had the dressing room, as players were definitely gunna fight hard every game under that bloke, or face some tough scrutiny if not having a dig, the respect for Tooves was obvious and that's a Massive part of being a Winning coach.
