This is where the coaching staff are accountable
All Bellamy and Bennett coaching types instil discipline in their squad of players
Bellamy did have a rare failure with Georgie Rose!

He needs to toughen up. Did notice a story on his insta in regard to it, he either takes it on the chin or had a sook and his manager carries on again.
Agreed @winnyason He also needs to spend a few games in NSW Cup before we bring him back into first grade. At this stage of his career, Josh doesn't need any more special treatment. He will gain some match fitness in NSW Cup, and hopefully come back into first-grade fitter, healthier and with a significant attitude adjustment.

Yeah DCE’s interview yesterday has been taken out of context.

Dce just said he has to work hard on his injury to get back into first grade.
But why would he even say that if Schu was already ‘working hard on his injury’?
It’s fair to assume every NRL player (and those who aspire to be an NRL player) work hard on injuries.

There’s a necessary implication that Schu isn’t doing that yet and that would be a great frustration for the team and the club. And for me as a fan!

His goaline defence needs alot of work a real lack of effort. He needs to get that hard-nosed fox approach in his game.

Far too early to be calling that.

I mean if you where isolating 2023 on its own many would argue for Foz but you are hopefully looking at Schuster as a 10 year star for us ( if he works for it).

I think the timing was right for Foran, Ididn't see us winning another prem with him
Agree 100%, and I've always been a big Foran fan. Schuster will come good, what he did in 2021 proved he's got talent in spades. Not really getting a clear picture of what's really going on with Shoe, let's just give him a few weeks to sort this out head and body wise, it'll be worth it.

Noticed with Josh after that ineffectual or part lazy tackling effort for the last Tigers try , he aimed up quite well in their next set with a good front on driving tackle . So can defend well when he is more motivated but still has not seemed[ to improve on those slightly side or cover type tackles . Ever since he has been in i st grade actually ,. Could he improve , no reason why he could not but certainly needs his fitness levels up there . Still the best short term 6 option again when fit including [ match ] , Latu Fainu and Weekes could be there abouts soon and to be considered, depending how promptly they can further develop their games as well . No doubt could still manage to play on an edge but club indications that is not a future preference , 13 role , always seems to be a possible option or at least suggestion .

The whole DCE interview is pretty bizarre tbh...

It's a pity, Weeks could do a job at 5/8 the same as Johns is doing now. On the plus side Johns has a good short kicking game that Weeks doesn't have, maybe in Seib's eyes that's the difference.

Actually think that D C E was jus reflecting reality , Josh has a few challenges to best contribute to his and the team 's playing situation and prospects . Seemed to have his weight and fitness issues under control and very creditably during the off season and season 's start . Surely must be getting the best advice now on trying to overcome his injury woes , didn 't seem to have any major issues in 21 but almost getting into Turbo territory now or in the past 18 months or so . Be more inclined to think that he could well be on 800 k and in the current circumstances , has to be concerning that it could even increase next season . If he could be playing to his full potential and relatively injury free , probably could just warrant it . One thing that can be easily overlooked is that he is a naturally big lad , apart from his general ability and skill level , should be an asset really but not much help when he can hardly string even a couple of games together

Think that it a real shame that Weekes can not quite slot into the 6 role , Coope johns is a reasonable fit there and short kicking game can be helpful on past indications . However really just offers a basic set up role ,, has a go in defence but then the limitations come in , particularly in attack . Weekes can have or provide that X factor , hopefully not that far off in a 6 role in is t grade . Surely must be first up replacement if Turbo is not available at the back , now or in the near future . ,

On The Great Schuster Question...
"...but he needs to own his own career..."
"...he's got to take ownership of the next few weeks..."
"...Josh has got an opportunity to take ownership of his career, do a really thorough reconditioning bloc over the next couple of weeks..."

Interesting

Yes I remember that

Rare failures are normal for great coaches

Recurring ones are not

And the Great coaches have a Great record of consistency in what they do

And this is why they are Great coaches

Seibold is at the start of his coaching career and he also has the potential to be a Great coach

Ball is in Josh's court,
The right court perspective

In the court there are 2 parties that play the game

The coaching staff and the players

Both can make a difference and can make an impact to the cause

We Are All In This Together

Also, declined to answer the question on whether Josh would start his comeback in NSW cup
