They can make a 'Johnathan Thurston Possible Signing Superthread'. Like the one they had for Kieran Foran.

The Dogs are only taking one player on board this year: T REx. They let about 7 or 8 players go.

Could you list out the 7 or 8 players they have let go?

2013 Losses: Jake Foster (Canberra Raiders), Bryson Goodwin (South Sydney Rabbitohs), Luke MacDougall (retired), Tupou Sopoaga (Cronulla Sharks), David Stagg (Brisbane Broncos), Jonathan Wright (Cronulla Sharks)

Sam Kasiano (McDonalds)

People are forgetting the Dogs bought Inu & Perrett mid year. They will both be on substantial contracts in 2013.

More interested in 2013 than 2014 maybe's.
Thurston is the half 2 make a mass dif to that team IF they had him now....
Thing is, they will have to let go of some big names unlike the nsw cup losses like this year to accomodate Thurston signing.
Also he has had loads of minor injury concerns that even in 2013, will effect him & will be also in the twilight of his career.
Ppl think its also a negative on the players wondering who will cop the DEs knife in the back & be cut, but this also tells his halves in 2013 - "I dont have faith in you" which is not a super confidence builder pre season.

That list would cover Trex's contract.

Correct and that's about all it would do...Goodwin may have been on $150K and Stagg probably $100K, the rest on maybe $55K

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, At the time Sherwin and Anasta were playing good footy and were banking on those 2 players being there for a number of years, They chose to let Thurston go.

These things happen!

Still it is very funny when a professional team can't spot the difference between Thurston and Sherwin.

Who knows Thurston may not have turned out the player he is today if he stayed under and played under Folkes.

once a dirty dog always a dirty dog!!!!!!!!
Hope he does go back there, will give me another reason to dislike the club, the culture and the individuals they have

They are having wet dreams over at the Kennel, one supporter is donating "his left nut to science" to make it happen (can't wait to see that!!). They'll offer him a Million a year for sure, especially with the half backs they have now!!
