Last night, 2nd half of Golden Point I think it was, he got his water bottle and soaked the ball before kicking off

Thoughts on this ? Not a big issue in the game, but not sure it should be allowed either tbh

Probably

no different from rubbing in the grass to cover it in dew.

Standard tactics. If you aren't good enough to catch a wet ball you shouldn't be playing 1st grade footy

Shouldn't be allowed, not in the spirit of the game. For all his skill this guy has some stupid brain farts at times.

and gets away with it consistently coz hes aparantly the golden child ........

Who cares he missed a goal from right in front in extra time. This guy and Hayne are the 2 biggest flops of 2010 by far....

Not as stupid as Cronulla's tatics of going for field goals on 1st and 2nd tackles when the had the opportunity of a full set of six to go for a try or at the very least grind the ball up the centre to within 1m of the tryline and then throwing the ball back 10 or 15m to the man taking the field goal attempt to give him time and space to get it right. Talk about moronic.

Add Watmough to that list.

.. chip  they get excited  after all  they dont have too many games like that1 where they can snatch victory so they took any chnace they got..  in  hindsight the coach probably thought they would knock it on  if it went past 3 tackles any way..

On Watmough, the funny thing is that his form seems down to us, but in every publication I have read giving a mid season review, he has been our player regarded as having a "hot"season

We should also keep in mind, and hope for a repeat, that it was only really after Origin 3 last season that his form went red hot

A joke that Cronulla players acted like they won the comp.  They really only beat the Cowpats.  And it took extra time to do it.  On Whatnow, he's going OK.  Not winning games for us, but not being really as terrible as some on this site insinuate.  He'll improve.

Yeah how poor that they celebrate coming back from 18-0 down to win. What were they thinking?

Have you ever played competitive sport.........

Just remember, they've had a shocker of a year, and they're still a finals hope. Also 2 points closer to us,so don't go bagging them out too much yet!
