From the 'NRL 2025, Injuries, Suspension Return Dates, Casualty Ward and Key Information for the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

* * * (Updated: Friday, 08 August 2025) * * *

Manly's quest to play finals football has been dealt a blow after inspirational forward Jake Trbojevic suffered a head knock in Friday's clash with the Raiders.

The lock collided with Josh Papalii following a kick off and feel to the ground amid heavy contact. Trbojevic left the field for a HIA and was promptly ruled out of the clash.

Manly coach Anthony Seibold said the 31-year-old was doing ok post-game, but confirmed he will miss next week's clash with the Wests Tigers.

"The good thing is he's sitting up inside there," Seibold said. "It's Category 1 so he'll definitely miss next week.

"It's the third one this season so it's really disappointing for him and us. We're already missing six or seven of our forwards at the moment and Jake won't play next week."

  • Jake Trbojevic (Head Knock, TBC)

Won’t happen but what I’d like to see next week. $CE, Jazz and Sips all leaving next year so out of the 17. Waddell and Saab dropped for repeated poor performance. Koula given a crack at fullback with a chance to make the spot his own (if he keeps being wasted out in the centres we’ll eventually lose him). Navale given a fair crack in first grade as Jurbo takes the rest of the year off, and we blood another young forward in Laiafi.

What will actually happen? Seibold picks (in his eyes) the safest squad possible with the idea of saving his job/still trying to make finals. Then we lose to the Tigers anyway, who have quietly snuck right up behind us on the ladder and are fresh off the bye. At Allianz too where we have been dog**** in the 3 games we’ve played at the new stadium. Should be some good value with the Tigers.

Finally Navale is in. Garrick back to centre is eh but at this point it can’t get much worse (it absolutely can please don’t get smacked by the Tigers of all teams)

What a ho-hum side.
Slight excitement about Navale getting a run, but if Boldy's form holds then it will be a minor 10-minute stint.
The rest of the selection are: "we've lost three in a row so let's stick to the losing formula. DCE has not been trying so let's stay loyal to him. . ."
Yep. Nothing to look forward to this weekend.

Navale must have deleted the dirty pics he had of Seibold from his phone this week to finally get in!

He’ll have to boot them from recently deleted as well though if he wants the over 10 minutes

Garrick back to centre, we must be kidding. And everyone says we have depth in our backline.

Could Navale be the next victim in a long list of players that many ST’ers have hyped up based on nothing other than the fact they don’t like or rate the players that were picked ahead of them?
That's not true though. People seem to have a positive view of Caleb because of his excellent statistics in NSW CUP and his form when representing Fiji.

Feel like our line up is kind of like we are going in circles and just hoping something might work. Would not surprise me if the Tiggies jagged a win.
