Manly have a lot of buying to do. There are no more excuses the team has just a couple of players missing and plenty of time between games but are still getting owned.
it was also poignant the way Loonie Loonie owned Tafua today. That is the type of player we need. We have building a 90’s team and they look like reserve grade.
I would also give Funa at least 6 weeks in reserve grade to learn defence.

Does anybody else think Manly doesn’t look like they have been coached or trained together- they play like they have just met for the 1st time but without energy or enthusiasm.

Obviously they have but the quality to do it at game time just isnt there.

in the spine most of the other players just need to turn up and do their jobs. All the creation comes from those guys.
In turn that list only has DCE and the forwards so of course we are ****ed.
Those players you mentioned are all not up to first grade standard in 2020, their form has been horrible.
Problem is team selection, non performing players consistently get picked in their preferred position, the younger players all get picked out of position.
Look at Guaca, gets one run on an edge then back to the bench to play in the middle, then dropped from the 17.
Hard to blame underperforming players when the coach keeps picking them, the blame is with the coach!!

Parker should be depth i reckon.. garrick needs to go as well. How he got driven back in goal in the situation is beyond me. Clearly has no core strength, no power.

No decent players are coming here.
Releasing 10 or so fringe players will not help us free cap space for decent players as those 10 players need to be replaced.
You can't learn to defend in 6 weeks.

Can't agree with this.
Fainu has basically played one season and unlikely to be around next year.
DCE is toast after carrying this side on attack since Foran left.
Walker and Turbo are never on the park.
Jake is playing like a reserve grader not a SOO first choice forward.
The other two are props so not sure why they are generating our creativity - that's a sad state of affairs.
Look at the Storm. Strike weapons all over the park, not just their spine. Their backrow and outside backs ooze class. None of our first choice backline would sniff their team, other than Tom.
