We are still a decent chance to make the 8 ...... not going to happen.

I think it's unlikely we make the 8 but agree we aren't going to see many late season changes. Unlikely isn't impossible.

Plus I think they would judge it to be too risky from an image/media perspective anyway.

If you think running a team of 17 and 18 year olds to get flogged every week to end the season is a good thing for their development or the club you’ve got rocks in your head.

We have a captain that has clocked off for the season. I can't see a finals spot this year. Dce ,s effort shows that the end off season cant come quick enough for him

You are probably right and even if we make it, its curtains in round 1. Imagine playing Penrith if they finish 5th.

Anyway while those fair weather fans wait for next season I will cheer them on and hope for the best. Surely we have a couple of more wins in front of us.

Penrith just moved up to 4th which is where I think they'll finish, so that would be some relief if we made the 8.

I worked for bookmakers as a clerk for 20 odd years and then as a contracted fixed price asessor for Tabcorp for about 4 years until the finished us all up.

I am a small time punter these days, happy to say I haven't made a deposit into a betting account for more than 10 years, but have a bet most weeks. I mainly bet with Betfair and Tabcorp. I hate losing and would give it away in a heartbeat if it was gobbling up my money.

I have a couple lifelong friends who have only ever been pro punters since school (over 40 years ago) and they text me more days than not. Sometimes tips but usually a swap on information/opinions.

Anyway I think those odds are about right, I don't wont to take that price as a punter. But it is possible we could make the 8 by only winning 2 more games (one would be to beat the Dolphins), that is a real long shot though.

It's an interesting game as long as you control it .. which you obviously do.
I'm more interested in the racing side than sport , owned a few horses etc

I do a lot of arbitrage stuff using Betfair and the zillion promos the corporates do these days
Easy money as a side hustle if you have a math oriented mind.

It's okay, we will finish lower middle of the table. It's been a great year! It's a tough competition with lots of really good teams and we have had some injuries this season. I can't believe people actually thought we might win the spoon. We are only 14 points from the top of the table and six points clear of the Bunnies in 16th place. We beat Melbourne in Melbourne, we beat Penrith before they went on their run and we haven't had fifty put on us. We have recruited lots of experienced forwards and our coach has shown great loyalty to our club captain for all the NRL world to see. The Eels, Knights and Titans beat up on us but if we'd won those games we'd be in fifth.
