I think Tom has just reflected on the last few years
on field Manly has just piled on the teams outcomes on his shoulders everytime he took the field.give the ball to Tommy and let him smash a hole through that no one was creating first

Tommy stood up carried us, ran harder, was more desperate in defence, took prop runs and then his body failed him , and then again and again

Tommy looked pretty quick running through the hole brooksy and waddell opened up, but much slower with 4 defenders in front. He switches to PCM tommy with quick play ball. Mindset is different depending on the move or lack of it, looked too quick backing up garrick

He's a bit of an enigma this season. His numbers look good, and he's getting plenty of Dally M points, but the intensity isn't there and he drops in and out of the game, especially defensively. Really, it's just kinda… weird. Is this what an injury-free Turbo now looks like?

It feels like Tom has come full circle in defence. He had all sorts of problems in defence in his first couple of seasons, particularly with balls along the ground and positioning as last line of defence. I thought he really improved these areas out of sight… to the point where he was even smashing players as the last line of defence. I see first season Tom back now.

Whether Turbo will be selected at centre will be interesting. There's Best, Crichton, Staggs, even Lomax. If Latrene has a couple of blinders he may be reinstated.

Yeah, but Lawton came on to try and impact what had been a cluster fark set up by others. Yes, he failed and it was hard to watch that poor play off the scrum in the dying minutes that was costly, but… please. In the context of Turbo’s talent and ability, he was by far the worst performer on the night. It was comical. That young kid from the Phins was more inspiring than Turbo’s effort. Let’s keep it real please.

Sorry, but the player is so far off his potential… it’s obvious watching the games regardless of stats. But, if you wanna excuse his performances on stats, then so be it. Yes, he is still compiling big numbers, but he is not on his game, IMO.

Hard to imagine that NSW origin would ever mean anything more than what we do at club level. I know QLD carry that insecurity to drive their performance, but I would hope more intelligent people would see it for what it is, as a marketing opportunity. Bozo loves it, but it also probably fuels his beliefs around his immigrant background and underdog narratives.
