Depends what you mean by “news” and what propaganda source you choose to trust.
Yes, why can’t they be like the Democrats and always admit when they make mistakes, and never try to cover them up.When did we stop being able to say something isn’t right?
I believe people who riot, set fires, or act violently during protests should face the full force of the law. I also think the way Biden’s health was handled publicly deserves proper scrutiny ( I’m not sold on the “auto-pen conspiracy” theories)
The man in question was entering a federal building for a scheduled briefing. He was screened, accompanied by an FBI agent and a member of his security team, and even asked permission to enter the room.
Now compare how this was covered.
Kristi Noem claimed during a press conference:
“This man burst into the room, launched toward the podium, interrupted me, raised his voice, and was removed. He did not identify himself.”
But Senator Padilla tells a different story. He says the man did identify himself upon entering. And based on the footage, it looks like that’s true.
I guess the most disturbing part is not even the action taken but the inability to admit they got something, anything, wrong
I am talking as a human in general. What happened was awful…why is this so hard to accept?Yes, why can’t they be like the Democrats and always admit when they make mistakes, and never try to cover them up.
Have to admit I am not close to what exactly happened here, I have just watched the video and heard both sides. It sounds like both sides have a case, so who knows what the truth is.I am talking as a human in general. What happened was awful…why is this so hard to accept?
Just like the people throwing rocks at cars is awful. Do we put decency above party lines ever anymore?
He has been specifically requesting info on Quantaemo bay for weeks and she /her department have ignored all requests. How about not turning up late & being so entitled to think you are going to be able to ask questions instead of the reporters that have patiently waited? Nice stunt from him to draw some attention to himself though I guess, got the attention he clearly wanted
If you are that desperate for answers how about turning up on time like the rest of the media? He has been specifically requesting info on Quantaemo bay for weeks and she /her department have ignored all requests.
Agree, just another annoying Democrat stunt, ...and "our democracy is at stake"...lol...what a bunch of hippocrates. If you are that desperate for answers how about turning up on time like the rest of the media?
He's not the media. If you are that desperate for answers how about turning up on time like the rest of the media?
So he thinks he has can do whatever he wants & play by different rules because of his position? If you want to ask questions do it like everyone else. Regardless if he is media don’t show up half way through a event & expect you can get your wayHe's not the media.
He has been asking questions for weeks about detainees being taken to Quantaemo bay. Properly, through the proper channels. He has been ignored, which her and her department are in violation of their duty.So he thinks he has can do whatever he wants & play by different rules because of his position? When they are arresting hundreds of illegals by the day, the last thing you need is the courts being clogged up by criminals and drug runners. He has been asking questions for weeks about detainees being taken to Quantaemo bay. Properly, through the proper channels. He has been ignored, which her and herr department are in violation of their duty.
The way their gov works is that the senate / house provide oversight which means they essentially have the ability to ask questions when they want (via briefings etc). It is one of their “norms”Have to admit I am not close to what exactly happened here, I have just watched the video and heard both sides. It sounds like both sides have a case, so who knows what the truth is.
As to the actual incident, it doesn’t look that bad to me, unless I am missing something. Was he entitled/expected to be there? Looks like a press conference to me and it does come off looking like a stunt. I have seen plenty of similar videos where senators and congresspeople have attempted some grandstanding presumably to appear like they are “resisting”, for the sake of their constituents. If he has legitimate concerns, surely as a senator he should make them in the senate, not by staging a stunt at a press conference? All that does is encourage others to “resist” which as we can all see by what’s happening in LA, can get extremely dangerous.
He says he was accompanied in by FBI, but the video shows him being detained by FBI? And I certainly wouldn’t describe this as awful, and certainly not equatable with people throwing rocks at cars. Again, unless I am missing something.
As to whether you support or oppose what Trump is doing is another issue. Trump gets accused of being anti democratic, but isn’t actively resisting the implementation of an agenda voted on by the people anti democratic? If we continue down this path, elections will mean nothing, both sides will actively resist election outcomes and the whole system will collapse. Now that would be awful.
We can go around in circles all day but if you really wanted to ask questions you’d show up on time. If you find something that important would you turn up late? No is the obvious answerHe has been asking questions for weeks about detainees being taken to Quantaemo bay. Properly, through the proper channels. He has been ignored, which her and her department are in violation of their duty.
How is it very false? The only time I heard him identify himself was after he was manhandled by the FBI, after he interrupted and starting asking questions. When you are up on the stage, especially in this environment, it is very easy to feel unsafe when someone attempts to hijack proceedings in the way he did. Whatever the truth here, this incident clearly pales into insignificance when you compare it to the rioting going on in the streets, so I’m not such there is a moral equivalence here. The way their gov works is that the senate / house provide oversight which means they essentially have the ability to ask questions when they want (via briefings etc). It is one of their “norms”
(Unwritten laws like the “spirit of the game” in cricket) that in the past others have done similar things at pressers
It is tough as we do not see the start of the video but her response said very clearly he did not identify himself which is so very false.
It would have been simple to put up your hand and say you got it wrong but that just appears impossible- what is so hard about a politician admitting they got something wrong? Or does that not matter anymore (for both sides)
