Sorry, I still have no idea what you are talking about. I said the booing doesn’t necessarily mean they are booing trump or whoever. Maybe they are just booing based on good old fashion Aussie patriotism. Who knows if they are left or right. What I said was it’s sad and desperate for the usual suspects to use this to validate their extreme TDS. Hope that clarifies that for you.

So, amazingly - for the first time in a long time - this means we ended up arguing the same idea. "Who knows if those people were left or right"? We can't, that's the whole point!

Sure, we can still argue why exactly they are booing the US anthem. For example, we can debate whether or not it's naive to consider if US image had any role. Irrespective of the action, however, we both concluded that this large group of people booing the US cannot so simply be deemed 'leftists' or 'right wingers'. It took a while, but we got here.

As always if anyone looked into it they would know that it was mainly because the crowd was unhappy that the US anthem was played before the Australian one (I know someone who was there with their kids and in his view he booooooooood because he did not think they were even going to play the aussie anthem).

If anyone saw the crowd over the course of the events they had they were pretty insane with their chanting, booing etc so I think this was just part of the general "vibe" of the event.

Also, just like booing who ever the current PM is when they are shown on screen at sporting events, I do not think this is an anti maga culture war just a case of a crowd who get involved. If anything it is another distraction that gets us away from both Hamas and Israel seeming to skate fairly close to breaching the terms of the peace deal.

The point is that Trump takes unscripted press questions from a room full of journalists on a daily basis. I can forgive him some missteps on the basis these are far outweighed by the benefits of having a leader who speaks his mind transparently. Biden on the other hand hid from the press and only read words prepared by someone else from a teleprompter.
