Try Assist

What is a try assist??

there was not 1 try assist in our game on sunday according to the nrl.com match centre, i always assumed that it would be a pass leading to a try or kick leading to a try.
Anyone know exactly how to define a try assist??

I couldn't believe Hoppa passed to Lyon for the 2nd try, my first try scorer bet on him with sports bet would have paid out twice!
