Well we don’t seem to want to buy any back rowers, so we may as well try to create one internally. Played plenty of centre and a regular spot in top 30 will see him bulk up. Hoppa used to get ragdolled regularly - not many saying that now. Talau has been regularly touted for a back row switch - not sure he is that much bigger than Clayton. Not enough spots for all our outside backs but only 2 regular backrowers.

😂…Weidler also said DCE wasn’t leaving Manly for more money! Weidler also thinks he’s a journalist but he’s actually just a fu<kwit. Funny how he was so worked up about emails that he knew of yet when Manly were gonna show them he disappeared. Like I said he’s just a fu<kwit who has no idea. Yeah, this is an easy one to speculate about, a lot of people would be thinking the same but it doesn't make it true.

I doubt Koula gets upgraded. Think he’s already on around 700 k from memory as we signed him for quite a few years whilst he was being sounded out as a potential union target. Garrick also signing when Newcastle were targeting him for fullback inflated his price a bit too. I think we could really save some coin from his contract and would probably extend Koula for similar if not slightly less. For what it’s worth we could pretty easily move Clayton or Talau to one of the centre positions and save a few hundred k easily.

Not too sure with Koula 's contract . Certainly recall when he was re signed for 3 years up until 26 i think with an option in his favor for 27 that he was being courted a bit by R U .
Thought that it may have been more in the 450 - 500 K range but only a guess and do have to pay a bit extra for an X and utility factor so any very hopefully future ongoing Manly contract would have to be a bit more then my presumed amount for his current deal .
Quite sure that Garrick"s contract extension was in the 600 K range and realistically , could expect the same if he continues on after 26 , i think when it ends and taking into account his goal kicking ability but apparently Fogarty no slouch either .
Great if Talau and Faulalo can be retained but lets just see how the priorities go and coming up

I'd offer Turbo 520k a season, plus an amount per game played, with another bonus if he hit 20 games for the season. 10k per week is pretty good money. Offer say 10k per game played plus 100k if he hits 20 games - he has the potential to get close to 900k for the year without it being a guarantee in the cap. Sure, it means we would have to keep around 350 - 400k aside for incentives. And if he fails to meet them, we use that money to upgrade players during the year.

That all said - I am 100% prioritizing Lehi before Turbo now. Lehi could be our FB for the next 10 years if we play things right. If we don't do it, someone else will offer him the FB role and pay him accordingly. He's ready now.

1/ offload Saab - misses too many games and is a bit mistake prone for money he is on
2/ Garrick to wing
3/ re sign turbo on centre money
4/ re sign Talau as the main back up outside back

Yeah just not when he scores 25 tries eh? He’s a hell of lot more reliable than overpaid, injury prone Turbo….so does that mean Turbo’s not a footballers arsehole? The most valuable backs we have are Koula, Lehi, Garrick, Saab & Talau….so yeah let’s get rid of them & enjoy watching them reaming out our arse holes whilst playing for other teams.

Don't think you can do that.
Or at least, the maximum he might earn would need to be counted for the cap.

Bit injury prone but think still a good move tying Saab up until 29 .
No reason not to think , still the fastest player in the comp and so reassuring when he is in the clear , no one is going to run him down and that has to be such an advantage in the competitive sense
General play , including hit ups and ability to beat tackles , on the improve for some time now .
Obvious concerns with the recent run of injuries but still a serious club asset when all things are taken into account

On centre money and given his value to the club in terms of ability to win games, fan favorite and attracting sponsors I would be more than happy to take a chance even with his injury record
