Manly didn't pay 900k to waste Tom in the centres, pencil him in for that fullback spot until he retires. Locke will be in reserve grade. And Tom has no trouble with the high ball whatsoever rolling ball yes but that will improve as he gets more experienced.Locke fullback, tom centre, uate wing.Tom has to much hesitation on the high & low ball.
Not going to happen. Tom is good under the high ball; although, he does have some fumbles in him with rolling balls down low - that will change.Locke fullback, tom centre, uate wing.Tom has to much hesitation on the high & low ball.
Exactly. Our club may be stupid ATM but they aren't stupid enough to give Locke fullback spot over Tom Turbo. If they move Tom to centre we will never get to see one of his best attributes which is ball playing. Tom may have looked good at centre but at fullback this year he was close to player of the year in fullback. Not going to happen. I just don't get why so many think Locke will be this amazing player. The Warriors let him go, he did nothing for years in the ESL and when he was in the NRL at his best he was good but not great. He was quick and elusive but a liability in defence.
Pretty sure he's on a staggered deal starting at like 600K and ending at 900k.I've got know doubt that Tom will go on to be a champion fullback but I had know idea he was already on $900k.
Reality is right now we are one decent centre short..If we dont get a quality genuine first grader like a Whare or whoever for 2017 and Locke is firing he probably has to come into the 13 as FB. Turbo goes to centre - we have to get all of our best players on the park and find a spot for them. There's a lot of organisational responsibility for a FB and Tommy is still finding his way in that regard. It will come in time of course. I think it'd be a fair backline with Locke at the back, Uate on one wing - the other wing spot will be competitive which is a good thing and Tom & Dylan in the centres. Having a dud 'depth' player in the centres just to keep Tommy at fullback when he's still learning the game seems ignorant to me. We need as much spark in our backline as possible.. Our forwards should aim up so we need to capitalise on that. Just my 2 cents worth..I think your right mate
Can't find a spot for Locke unless it's full back if we are st full strength and Brett is not in the picture but can see Tom and Dylan playing on opposite sides of the field with Locke sniffing for a break
I think Tom will end up a creator rather than a finisher and our wingers and full back will be our main players to cross the line
If Snake isn't playing, we won't be helping Tom learn the fulllback role and fulfil his potential in the 1 jersey by playing him in the centres. Tom is our most potent attacking weapon and you want him to have as many touches as possible.Reality is right now we are one decent centre short..If we dont get a quality genuine first grader like a Whare or whoever for 2017 and Locke is firing he probably has to come into the 13 as FB.
