Always watched the back page just to see gibbo,great show,good old laughs with the12th man ( Billy birbingham),I'm sure that everyone is saddend by his passing,R.I.P champ.

Sad to hear about Mike Gibson. Used to love the Wide World of Sports in the 80's with Ian Chappell and Max Walker.
He was a passionate North Sydney Bears fan but I guess no one is perfect.

He REALLY hated us. If the Spit Bridge fell down he would have thought it a great day. He can now bother the other side with tales of what will never be for his Bears.

Channel 7 are reporting that Gibbo took his own life after a long battle with depression. Though they aren't saying how it happened.

Is it just me or are there more and more cases of people taking their lives (or maybe it is just reported more truthfully these days)
