Wade Graham

Well in case you have not heard, Graham isnt guaranteed to resign with the gummies. Apparently he wants $25K more than what they are offering and refuse to give it to him.

Apparently about to test the open market.

Id have him at manly, but I am sure is asking way too much than I think he is worth.

Bloke is 26 about to come into the peak of his career. Not injury prone, and he has a go! He never goes missing. 3 years - 2.2 million would probably get him. The reason why he is worth it is that he's not a one season wonder like so many players. Think @Turbo1 said it best, has been a very good player for a long time. He is just what we need for our second row. Not as good as Cordiner but he's in the top 5-6 backrowers in the comp and could be a very good lock for us.
I think Jake will be a long mins front rower eventually and same as Kapow. So with those two and Lussick rotating in the front row, a good lock like Graham (who used to play 6) would be very handy to have

According to the media he's one of "The Big Four" yeah what a laugh!

That is in reference to the Tigers, besides Tedesco Woods is there second biggest name.......no really getting your point

If we could secure Woods and Graham (or Cordner if they release early) we would be in a fantastic position for 2018. I just don't see it happening. Woods will likely cost min $700k per season and Graham/Cordner would be roughly the same. I don't think we have a lazy $1.5 mil lying around do we?

Having said that, with Brown, Myles and Api all off contract after the 2018 season we could do a 3 year back loaded contract to take advantage of their salaries freeing up space? But we do have Lussick and Kelly in that same year that will likely need upgrade.

The biggest issue with signing anyone right now is that it shouldn't be any longer than 2-3 years as both the Turbo's and Marty will be due after the 2020 season.

All in all, whilst we might have money we still need to be careful we aren't caught out in a couple years time when our big stars need upgrades.

There should be room for both or someone is miss managing our cap.

Can someone please explain to me WTF is so special about this guy? Seems he's a shoe-in for SOO 2nd Row & was even mentioned as Captain, yet for the life of me I cannot see what is so good about him! As a back row forward there are any number of players better than he is but somehow he's rated one of the best. How is he better than Jackson, Frizell, Cordner, Merrin, Jake T, Scott etc. I'm totally at a loss......maybe I'm just mad (lolol). For a start he's a cheat & a grub........If he's the best NSW have got then heaven help us this year!
One of the most over-rated pretenders in the comp

Not sure what the big deal is with Jackson either.

And I wouldn't say Graham is not tough because he came off because a ball hit him

Would have been because of a free interchange

I was bowled over the other day when I read that Graham was only 26...I honestly thought he pushing 30 and would be winding down his career soon. He seems to have gotten slower and he is very "kick happy" with that left boot of his.

He is a good honest first grader but for the kind of money he will want, I hope we look elsewhere. I don't think he is a SOO level footballer.

Been trying to find some stats on whether players with two first names play as well as those with a first and last name..........
Bloody hard to track down but I'm sure it's out there.

the guy scored 3 tries rd2 didn't he? the guys a machine he has great defense has ball playing skill and a nice little grubber in him . He was concussed twice last game so he dint play well but watch him go against the eels. One of the form 2nd rowers in the game

Dunno...

Graham had to go off for a concussion test after being hit in the head with the footy.

He can't be all that tough.

Though the fact it was about the time forwards get a rest in the game and it turned into a free interchange and he was back on 15 mins later should not in any way be interpreted as yet another coach rorting the concussion system. No way not ever ever ever.

Plus it's the do no wrong sharks so move along...

Just don't pat him on the head.
the clubs do it to get a free interchange it's exploiting the rules on concussion. He came off twice last week. cost Em in the end
