Wait...A few Positives

Its easy to get tied up in the emotion of being flogged at home against a team your expected to beat well.
They turned up with a simple , determined game plan and add to the script almost 15 minutes of quality, straight possession which not only saps the defence....but attack also has energy zapped on the back of it.
In a diabolical game, there was a good debut from Paseka, Gojetski done well also and I reckon it was clearly Joel Thompson’s best game as a Seaeagle.

Yeah I agree.
I'm more concerned with the thinning of our depth than yesterday's result.
Improvement is only a week away if they want it bad enough but improving our overall squad may take years.

at last on an otherwise gloomy horizon a shining light of hope and optimism peaks thru ,and yes I agree with Paseka GOjet and JT all played well.
But hey look this is ST its got to be diva fever ,doom and gloom and the worlds going to end we cant have any glasses 1/2 full it always 1/2 empty!!

Never in the hunt after that first penalty piggy backed them out of their own end. After that we were our own worst enemies. Thought that the Jet was our best. Good signs from the human "apartment building". Api has probably been our most consistent all year.

I am surprised people thought we would win this easy. The tigers have ground out wins against some good opposition this year so were always going to be tough. Very much an improved side this year.

It was always going to be a danger game, I was optimistic without being confident.
Atleast Paseka and JetSki played well. Partiuarly Taniela Paseka for his NRL debut, playing in a team that had to defend for the majority of the game. He still had some strong carries and defence while he was on. I’m only guessing here but I think AFB played similar minutes for us when he debuted and had similar impact & positive signs. Hopefully he develops even quicker than AFB but he’s otherwise a good example to takes notes from.
Adding to that, AFB has probably shown more impact than big Marty this year and that’s a complement to Addin not a swipe at Marty.
Hopefully both Paseka and JetSki get more confidence and game time and the whole team lift this week to show them the effort needed get a win instead

The main positive was the 15,000+ crowd. Unfortunately they were subjected to the worst home performance from the team in a long while.
Agree, the biggest Brookie crowd in a long while saw the worst performance at home in a long while.
The fans won't turn up again en masse in a hurry.

The only positive I can find after the last week/month from hell is that we're playing the winless Eels, but even so I'm clutching at straws.

Yes I really like that second row combo - I think a bit of Jetski's aggression has rubbed off on Joel. Speaking of JetSki he doesnt mind scoring the odd meat pie either - runs hard good lines at the tryline. We really need to get him the pill because he offers another string in our bow attackwise. He'll only get better too if he manages to string a few games together injury free
