Wayne Cousins ( Media Manager)

A quick update for those interested. Cuzzo has just moved past 100 days in ICU at NB Hospital. For those that have ever been in ICU or had a family member in ICU you would understand that 100 days is a long long stretch and tough work.

Cuzzo has had his ups and downs but has made gradual progress. There is still a long road ahead but he is fighting hard with Kerryn by his side.

Keep him in your thoughts and remember that life can turn on a dime so take care of your loved ones and don’t sweat the small stuff.

How terrible. Sending him positive vibes and thoughts.

@Bradza Thank you for the update, much appreciated.

Many small steps will eventually run a marathon. Can’t complement Kez and his whole family more - the support is amazing.

Thanks for the Cuzzo update feathered friend
His lovely Kerryn is his Life support and so too are his loyal friends
The Greatest form of motivation to keep going is the on going love from your loved ones
Lets Keep Cuzzo in our thoughts and Prayers of Hope to the Higher Power

Next time ask her to say hi from the Canadian (Aust) guy he’s met and emailed.

🙂

I hope he’s better soon
I just passed your message on GE, thanks.

We saw him on Thursday and you could see the improvement since I was last there a few weeks back. He hasn’t been able to eat (by mouth) since he was admitted in early January and is just starting to be able to have frozen orange juice and a small icy pole. Seeing his enjoyment of those simple things gives you perspective!

Quick update on Cuzzo.

It’s now been just over five months in hospital. He had his trachie tube removed a few weeks back and finally moved out of Intensive Care to a general ward last Friday.

He’s been eating soft foods for a couple of weeks and had the major excitement of being allowed a few KFC nuggets, chips and mash tonight.

There’s been gradual improvements in his leg and arm movement and he’ll keep working on that in a rehab hospital once a bed becomes available.

He’s in good spirits and all set to watch Origin tonight.

Cuzzo is a Good Man and its Great to hear that he is improving .
Cuzzo made a Great Impression as a Manly Media Man and Great impressions are ever lasting.
God Bless You Cuzzo

Cuzzo is now approaching eight months in hospital/rehab. He’s getting stronger every day as they work on his mobility (legs and arms). Still some months of recovery to go.

He’s going to the Captain’s Run today which will be his first trip out since the whole thing happened. It’ll be great for him to see all the boys, many of whom have been visiting him over the months as he recovers.

Thx Bradza for update, a massive journey for Cuzzo. Great to hear he is able to get out and about today!!
