My spy at Narrabeen reckons both were seen talking at the medical facility at Manly HQ this morning. There was also a Panther Prop there supposably having a look around? Very encouraging news. He reckons there were quite a few new faces and everyone seemed to be in good spirit. I did check to see if my spy was still on the way home from his Melb Cup lunch and he assures me he did get home last night

Penrith owe us a good prop after they got Kitey from us 😉

the spy has got back to me to advise that whilst he saw several new people today, some were there to have look around as they are considering options, he clearly reinforced that a lot of the people there were not signed but were free agents for 2017. He likened it to a open house. He said there was at least 4 people there from Panthers. He's adamant that Whare was there

No reason they aren't, I'd only say Whare would be. We used players like Hiku who were bound to leave in merchandise pictures before, it's just money the club aims to get they don't care too much about who's giving it to them and why

Whare was used tonight to promote the Panther's release of their 2017 jersey via social media, I'd be really surprised if they'd use a player who was any chance of not being there next year. Stranger things have happened but the odds of him coming back seem to be growing.
