Anyone know how a tackle is defined when calculating player stats? Is it just first man in, or do the second and third man get the tackle included in their stats?

Even a late flop is a tackle

On the stats the players involved in the tackle being the chopper (low) & container (high) will be rewarded the tackle....3rd men in with sumo shove or a flop will not be awarded the tackle.
If the ball runner still has momentum & the 3rd man in, then controls the attacker, it will constitute a tackle.
90% of tackles now involve 2-3 defenders, as the first impact (ball) will hold up the attacker for the low tackler & 3rd man to dominate & control the wrestle - getting the man on his back & letting their defence set....such a shame - the good old bootlace tackle has no reward, as I think it should be classified a dominant tackle, but all it does now is offers a lightning fast play ball as refs scream to let go immediately.
