Where have all the puns gone?

I am shocked that we haven't see a whole lot of puns this week after Friday night. The media are slipping.

I mean that game was really PUNCHuated by that fight and Manly showed the best way to beat the Storm is to PUNCH on through the middle. I am really struggling to GRAPPLE with the idea that everyone gave up the fight and instead fell back on cliche`s, it's truly CRUSHING.

If only I could work CHICKEN WING into a sentence, I could probably put, i feel like I got the small end of a wish bone, but that would CHEATING
