I'm hoping one of my fellow Silvertails can give me some advice.

For Magic Round I will be in Auckland (if I don't get COVID before then), and I am hoping to go to a pub showing the Manly game with sound on.

I have found plenty of Sports Bars so should be able to get to see it, but as the game clashes with a Crusaders Super Rugby game, I am not sure on being able to get sound as the Super Rugby may get preference in NZ.

I am staying in the CBD, does any one have any recommendations of pubs in the area which would show the Manly game with sound?

As far from this bloke as possible ..

O'Hagans Irish bar in the Viaduct area (near the ferry terminal) was always "home pub" for the MWTS so worth asking them - they have a couple of levels and multiple screens so may be a good option.

Another option would be to contact the Mt Albert RL club and see if their club room would have it on (they have a long association with Manly and used to host our supporter groups when we travelled there) - their ground/club is around a 15 min drive from Auckland CBD and contact details on their website Mount Albert Lions (they may be able to help with advice on an alternate venue if they aren't showing the game?)
Hope this helps?

Thanks Mate, I had been looking at O'Hagans Irish Bar as one of my options, they are a short 10 min stumble from my hotel, will check them out.

I second the OHagens option but there’s one place where it will definitely be on , the Casino Sports bar , they have every known sport to man going !!

If you get to O'Hagan's could you ask the girl behind the bar if they ever found the black jacket I lost there about 8 years ago on one of our MWST tours, actually , I don't know how I even made it back to my hotel room.
Ah - I always wondered whose jacket we were playing bullfights with that night.

It was all going really well and we were having a lot of fun until that random sporty looking dude jogging by charged head first in to the harbour with a coat wrapped around his head and nearly drowned .....
