Select your two centres to play for Manly in 2022

At this stage has to be the two from last year and des agrees. BUT! if he had the young bloke on the bench who came on as a center (which imo was terrible coaching) me thinks he isnt satisfied with them. Koula is pretty small and turbo is injured so 🤷‍♂️

I mean, impossible to say as things change week to week.

For next week I'd go Parker and Harper

Koula & Parker.

I think Koula & the more experienced Garrick would team well in defence.

Having Parker inside would help Saab's defence.

Garrick to right wing & Saab to left wing?

Afterthought: If later in the year, we have a specialist dummy half on the bench (Gordie or Segeyaro), I would move Walker into the centres alongside Koula.

Whoever we should of bought in the offseason to strengthen the centres. We don't have quality centres and it will hurt us again.

Both Parker and Harper were essentially on the back foot for much of the game against the Panthers [ as were generally the whole side ] . Parker did make some good defensive reads , some hard runs , side maybe needs more though to go with the top sides Harper [ who has noticeably put on a few kilos ] certainly tried also but not sure if the two of them can get or ensure Manly can get to the next level when there are other alternatives . Panthers had a young centre who was not overawed and quite confident that Koula would not be also and his pace asset to be another factor . Quite obvious that Tuipulotu is a strong runner , maybe his defence and positional play can measure up also to 1 st grade level with a bit more regular footy . Harper does have good natural ability and can certainly play but in terms of Manly challenging the better sides , seems to be struggling a bit ,. Koula may well be a better option there on present indications and quite possibly with some more footy under his belt , Tuipulotu could well come into contention soon as well for a centre spot , . Koula and Tippytoes would seem to offer more in attack at the very least . Defence another matter .

Jamie Lyon and Steve Matai caliber don’t come along too often… but as they are gone I’d have Parker and Lionel or maybe Walker at center. Best we currently have on the books

This is the team we need on the park if we are to beat any of the top teams -
Turbo
Saab
Walker
Koula
Garrick
Schuster
Foran
Jake
Oke
Davey
Paseka
DCE
Kapow
Bench: Sipley, Keppie, Bullimore, Lawton
Sorry but good bye Parker, Harper & Croker !
Can’t wait to see our kicking game when that team runs out

Anybody that thinks our centres were the problem on Friday night ... or that having Koula, at this stage of his career, defending inside Saab ... is a

MOON BARKING, lip dribbling, slack jawed, cross eyed, cranyon eating window licking lunatic.

What’s a cranyon?

Right now the centres should be Parker and Harper - they're the incumbents from last year and imo the spots are for them to lose.

Knowing Des, Parker's form would have to drastically decline for Des to drop him. Though I'm a big fan of Harper's, I think it's up to him to regain his form and justify his inclusion.

Worrying about our centres pairing seems unnecessary when it's our forwards we need to be concerned about. Until they can hold their own against a top pack we won't seriously challenge for a premiership.
I agree, but the difference is we have better centre options than we are using waiting in the wings. We don’t have better forwards.
