I thought it was Justin Horo.

Seems like we have all done our best to erase the game from our memories! I just re-watched the footage to be sure. @Volley was correct in saying that DCE was involved. DCE was one on one with SBW. DCE didn't actually miss the tackle but couldn't stop an offload to James Maloney. Watmough was the player standing to the right of DCE but had no chance of helping out against SBW as he was in no man's land. On the inside, Glenn Stewart committed to a tackle that Horo and Symonds probably would have had covered, leaving SBW with a straight line at DCE and no forwards to help him.

As it turns out, Watmough was still the player mostly at fault as he should have crunched Maloney. For some reason, he was standing way too wide to DCE's right and he was also standing back. The try was a classic case of what can happen to you if you don't move up in line.

You need a take a Bex & have a lie down after putting yourself through that.

There would be not too many players who made such a rapid and impressive rise and in playing status like Wolfie did in 08 . From Manly reserve grade to Manly first grade early in the season , to a Manly premiership win and then selection in the Australian side . Quite an achievement . Always seemed to contribute well for Manly when fit and of course a really strong and good finisher and very unfortunate that he did experience so many major injuries . Just seemed to have one of those off nights in the 08 decider and his efforts certainly did not help Manly"s cause but again this was not the reason for result going against the Sea Eagles . Colorful character both on and off the field but again when fit and well , a strong and really good performer during his time with Manly.
