There are many opinions on a scrappy, tough even lucky win.
Fact is - the side showed belief and resilience to get the job done.
These are the wins the real contenders get - they find a way.
Not as super as a few other performances, but if your not at your best and down by 16, yet come home to win - very happy with that and would have lost by 30 plus after that start in 2016....

The team is learning valuable lessons in games like that one. The tag of favourites is something new for them and they did not handle it well for 25 minutes yesterday. Sometimes you have to win ugly and that was yesterday's game and the Newcastle one. When we have a wet day it is important to respect the conditions and that is a learning curve. One thing this team has is resilience and desire and any win coming back from 16-0 down is a special win!

@maxta 100 percent. Last year we go down and go down big no question. The way we were able to stay in the contest and arrest the momentum is a credit to Barrett, DCE, and Jake T especially.

There is a belief in this team which we were so used to seeing in the golden generation of the 05 to 14 teams. I remember games in 08 and 11 especially where we won and I thought......how did we do that? The win v sharks with killers chip, the win v the eels with Wolfman kicking for foran, the win v raiders wi cuthbo sent off. This win ranks up there with those. Just belief and attitude.

The best win was the semi against the bunnies(think it was '13,the year we got screwed against the roosters in the GF.We got hammered by them and were down by 16 to zip I think, but killer and the boys got together and told the side to hang in and things will turn,and it did..I thought we were gone but we got it done,was massively impressed that day,pissed off the following week with the dodgy reffing though.

Manly kept their slim finals hopes alive when Daly Cherry-Evans nailed a golden-point field goal to lift the Sea Eagles to a 15-14 win over the Warriors in Perth.

Still ranks as one of my all time faves. Absolutely smashed inthe first 15 mins and the rabbits were starting to lair it up. Killer delivered a very uncustomary spray.
