In last year's WC, Samoa were thrashed in their first game by England, but then went on to make the final on the back on Luai who was virtually the player of the tournament. His absence in this series is a big loss for them. Every member of the Australian team has played SOO, except Edwards who is a Clive Churchill medal winner. In the Samoan team there are only five SOO players. The Australian three quarters are all debutantes. Holmes will likely replace one of them in later games.

Thank you for the teams lists @40 nil
Looking forward to seeing our dynamic number 9 GCKT stamp his mark on the game and building confidence to be a star for Manly in 2024

We expect no surprises from our ageless Champion DCE . He will do what he always does best that has kept him playing at his elite best

And that sums up the professionalism of rugby league. What a joke. How can you start play and then change your mind and call it back. Comedy hour.

I'm not sure if it's the camera angles but I'm seeing a lot more forward passes than the officials are giving

GCKT. Up and down game. Some good moments and energy, but his defense is still inconsistent. Hopefully, that will develop the more he plays at these higher intensity games and NRL

How often does Sir King Invincible Teddy die with the ball. Loves a dummy, but never passes. Glory hog.

That fullback is pretty damn good
Great player !
Yet another great player developed by the shrewd storm system that defies limitations of the salary cap

The salary cap is indeed only as affective as the great people in the clubs that manage it and capitalize on it

The moral of the story ...
Clubs are only as Great as the Great people that they Invests in

Kid plays his first NRL game only a few weeks ago and then turns up for an international against a full strength Australian test side....plays about 60 minutes in the middle... pulls of one of the best hits of the night (on Collins).......and seemed to be involved in almost every tackle down the middle. You are a very hard marker. I thought he had a blinder!!!

I thought he went well, didn’t see much wrong with his defense. Great experience for him which all goes well for 2024
