The top 5 teams so far we have a team from...

Nsw
Canberra
Melbourne
NZ, and
Qld

with such a diverse geography, the nrl should take the GF to...just off the top of my head....Canada!

(woohoo)

Also:

Bulldogs forward Jacob Preston will miss the next four matches for the Telstra Premiership ladder leaders and has been ruled out of contention for NSW selection in Origin I and II.

Preston fronted the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night to contest a Grade 1 Crusher Tackle charge for a tackle on Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui in the 76th minute of Sunday's game at Suncorp Stadium.

And of course, right on cue the Titans actually score.

But seriously, the Knights, who this year have shown a severe allergy to playing attacking football, are making the Coasts defence look like a shambles.

This is not the type of defence we know from Des Hasler coached teams.

He’s certainly wasted up there at that sporting graveyard.

I swear, the only national league team from the Gold Coast that I have ever known to actually win their sports championship was the old Gold Coast Dolphins (also known as the Gold Coast Clippers, East Coast Cougars and finally Gold Coast Cougars Daikyo Dolphins) in the original Australian Baseball League that ran from 1989–1999.

They won the ABL Championship twice. That's twice more than any of the Coasts rugby league, basketball, Aussie rules or soccer national league teams have ever won their respective championships.

Yeah, but they were the only team in the league, right? 😉
