I understand the current rule, but I feel like that deserved to be a try from the pub fan test. Grounded it cleanly after knocking it forward in the air without touching an opposition player. No problem, as long as we are consistent moving forward.WOW that look like a try, thank God it wasn't
I mean, we do have a great student of the game as our coach, and he was in the Storm system himself at one point, so if anybody can study it, surely it has to be him…Any chance we can study the successful Storm system and start moving towards emulating it? I guess it takes money, eh Penn?
Did you notice the size of the Storm pack, and two i haven't seen before, and no NAS tonight either.Any chance we can study the successful Storm system and start moving towards emulating it? I guess it takes money, eh Penn?
It’s so much bigger than appointing a coach. It has to start from the very top, and a desire to make us a top club every year.I mean, we do have a great student of the game as our coach, and he was in the Storm system himself at one point, so if anybody can study it, surely it has to be him…
Absolutely, I already noted the absence of NAS and JH… it’s a system, and a culture. From top to bottom. Kudos to them.Did you notice the size of the Storm pack, and two i haven't seen before, and no NAS tonight either.
Gibbsy, as much as I love U Rambo, but doesn't always work that way Champion.I mean, we do have a great student of the game as our coach, and he was in the Storm system himself at one point, so if anybody can study it, surely it has to be him…
Virtual unknowns turned into wrecking balls.Absolutely, I already noted the absence of NAS and JH… it’s a system, and a culture. From top to bottom. Kudos to them.
I reckon the roosters will cause some damage in the finals.Well both the beaten teams tonight are in this premiership up to their eyeballs.
The winners are of course in the mix.
The rest are kidding themselves, Sharks Roosters, Broncos and Warriors
Wouldn't get to carried away Brookie, the blowtorch hasn't properly been applied on the Chooks yet.I reckon the roosters will cause some damage in the finals.
Was loving the kicking game from him but I know Ricky has said he encourages and wants his players to do those kicks, wants them to take that risk and even has said he would drop players if they aren't willing to do those types of kicks in cup but not do it when they get a shot in first grade, what I'm worried about is our coach coaching it out of him and telling him not to do them.Just loving his massive bombs.
Its a pity we cant even compete a kick off or a short drop out.
Just imagine Saab chasing one of them. He'd be 100-1 about even getting a touch on it.
I agree, but if Canberra win or make the Grand Final, watch their squad start to be picked apart like Penrith. It is the price of success according to every journalist in the game, but they never seem to explain why that same handicap never applies to the Storm or Roosters.Absolutely, I already noted the absence of NAS and JH… it’s a system, and a culture. From top to bottom. Kudos to them.
I disagree, if I’m being honest. The Storm do consistently get dismantled and lose players. My feeling is that it’s more about the systems at a big picture club level, working in synch with Bellyache and his coaching philosophy.I agree, but if Canberra win or make the Grand Final, watch their squad start to be picked apart like Penrith. It's a strange one.
Yeah. And to think we beat three of them.Well the top 4 premiership favourites didn’t disappoint. That has been fantastic viewing.
The Rorters are supported by dollars, but don’t have the Storm system or coach in synch with that system. Their success will ebb and flow, much like most teams in the comp.Wouldn't get to carried away Brookie, the blowtorch hasn't properly been applied on the Chooks yet.
Players are more noticeable when you're in a GF winning team tho.I agree, but if Canberra win or make the Grand Final, watch their squad start to be picked apart like Penrith. Really, what players did they lose after their 2020 premiership? Then they added Stefano to their squad after last year's grand final. Their big three has now become a big six with Pappy, Grant, Munster, Hughes, Stefano and NAS whose reported salaries are chewing up over five million dollars.I disagree, if I’m being honest. The Storm do consistently get dismantled and lose players. My feeling is that it’s more about the systems at a big picture club level, working in synch with Bellyache and his coaching philosophy.
Yes but the Storm and Roosters never have the same issues.Players are more noticeable when you're in a GF winning team tho.
