All we are saying, is Pearce off !

Personally I think Pearce has been a fine half back and quite frankly unfairly criticised in his SOO appearances. Cronk had the advantage of having Smith at hooker and Thurston at 5/8 as well as Slater at full back, Inglis at centre etc. The QLD forwards tended to be stronger than the NSW forwards as well. Pearce had no one of that class supporting him. All very nice for players like Cronk to look good with the support he had around him. Pearce may have also been a champion playing in that QLD side
 
On the Pearce convo , does anyone feel if we get him that its really a good thing or are we jumping in to quick here . Look he is a pretty good first grade player no doubt , but will he fit in is the big question. I couldn't handle him as late as last year . Im split over this , just can't get to excited about it .

It's the off season so we are forced to debate hypotheticals :nerd:

I think that a doubling of his salary would see Pearce at the Knights :gbp:

Know how you feel, brad. I think, on paper and past performances, that he's an upgrade on Green, but whether he fits in with the rest of the team is one of those things we'll just have to wait and see. It could be a horrible mistake. Then again, it might be a masterstroke. Who knows?
Be interesting to know how Roosters fans (yes - both of them) feel about losing him. I'm guessing they're pretty confident Cronk is a step up.
 
DCE is no longer the shy boy who wouldn't say boo around all the established stars ... the past 2 years and the captaincy have seen him grow into a man ... and the boss of this Great Manly Team.

Pearce will be a ripper on the field .... my only concern would be a clash of egos ... there will only be one winner ... but it could be messy and disruptive .. so if he comes I hope he now has the maturity to pull his head in and just play footy.

4 rejected roosters players who couldn't get good enough offers to stay in Sydney. I highly doubt Pearce would be willing to move to Newcastle

Pearce will have a heap to prove and this could be the motivator that will see his game go up a notch rather than learn from Cronk....
Don't suddenly feel he is the best half in the game, but in the top 5 imo and a scapegoat in a NSW team that ANY half would have lost the same games.
His link to Dogs is Foran - they say Sirro is his mate - Foran his best mate....but have a feel Pearce will be at Manly and fans will warm to the idea on the back of results.

We'll find out soon enough i suppose . Honestly he wasn't terrible in soo just playing behind a run over pack , but if he can bring his club form , MAYBE the fans will warm to him .
