On a serious note.....did anyone else wince when they saw the Aussie scrum from above on Spidercam on Friday night? At one stage in the first half when Billy Slater was packing in at lock (that was a joke in itself, especially the 'packing in' bit)....there was more room between the second rowers than in a modern day F1 cockpit. Daryl Brohman could have stood between them and still have room to move.

As someone who primarily played in the second or front row.....in an era where the forwards actually binded and the scrum meant something.....it was almost enough to bring tears (then again, getting headbutted by an opposing prop while packing into the front row was almost enough to bring tears too, especially when their head hit the bridge of the nose. You think NRL refs are bad, South Aussie refs would need a seeing-eye dog just to find their own arse).
