The legendary Manly club has a very proud Winning history

And Every Manly loss feels like a death when you are a Manly supporter

A feeling of emptiness when there is no Manly life come finals time

The Great thing about having Faith is ......

We Believe and have Hope in our Great club as it has always risen from the dead

And we can all be reassured we will rise once again and conquer

God bless the Great Manly Sea eagles club and all the Great and loyal Manly supporters !!!

Well, that's true, but why not? They have to make money - it's a business remember. But it also raises awareness. If the business isn't making money, we don't have a sport to watch. If you're a business, you want to appear inclusive, PARTICULARLY for marketing reasons. TBH, I even enjoyed the MARVEL jerseys mate (and they made the NRL plenty).
If money making is the reason then it underlines why the Penns are not the right owners for our club. We need owners who are in it for the love of the sport and the team. They need to be rich and generous enough to be prepared to lose money in the pursuit of the best interest of their club.
If we are to have a private ownership model it should be the same as in the USA where billionaires own the clubs and who are involved because of their passion for the jersey. You don't see any US baseball, basketball, ice hockey or football teams decked out in gimmicky costumes like our mob.

Investing Money in a NRL club is one of the worst Investments which Proves there is more than Money for Mr Penn at Manly there is also a lot of Passion .

If there was so much Money to be made at Manly then why did our other honourable Investors withdraw their money and leave ?

Power. Petty feuds. Your wonderfully rosy view of human nature serves you well. Good luck to you Bozo!

It must frustrating for father and son that the DRLFC has enough clout written into the ownership agreement that the Penns can’t move the operation away from Brookvale, or seek to change the name or colours. Although their co-owners, the jersey manufacturers, have given the latter a ‘red hot go’.

Become a football club member if you’re not already. Hopefully one day we wrest back full control from the Penn family and their fellow travellers.

Terrible investment, unless you can make gazillions off the leagues club land, of course.

Our other honourable Investors could have had the opportunity that the unprofitable Manly Leagues club presented .

If you want to talk about petty feuds we all out do everyone here on our Silvertails forum feathered friend :)

At the end of the day No one is perfect but few have the passion , the courage the money and the Business Savvy to run a NRL club

I am a member of the football club as well and I believe we are blessed to have the support of a Manly Backer

If only the North Sydney Bears had the same backing

Let us all show some Grace and be Grateful for what we have and give credit where it is due

I'm a member.

Though I did send them an email a couple of days ago and haven't heard back.

Already on their offseason? lol

Sure, but only Penn took the $$ on offer, and he is the one also penny pinching, at the football departments expense.

NRLW, or lack thereof
Blacktown merger fpr NSW Cup
Magic round games sold to the Broncos
Different jerseys every second week.

The list of penny pinching is long, despite the profits already banked.

Our owners are doing the same as some other clubs do to make a dollar

Because if they fail to make a dollar they are done

Done ...Just like the sleepy North Sydney bears

Any idea how many $Ms Penns stump up each year to make up for losses ?

Do you think there is any truth to the rumour that their forebears kicked off the Grand Canyon?

An article on the coronavirus hiatus

Can your NRL club survive the coronavirus hiatus?

The Penn family is believed to have forked out about $1 million per year on average to keep the club operating and it will need a huge commitment from its private owners - or a white knight - to survive the financial fallout.
