I know there has been a bit of chat about Trent but with him in head role there is no way we win that game.

Somewhat ugly 2 points which is great considering who is out / to come back (hopefully)

Great early energy by AFB, Marty and Sirro got us on the up early where we are the best chance of a win. A lot of mistakes from the Cowboys tonight, were they pressure mistakes?
Cust took pressure off DCE and is getting better every game. Issue in attack where we look a bit lost and end up using backs as forwards (Suli) and forwards as backs - OK if planned but looks unplanned.
Keep the majority of this team fit and together week in week out and they will win more than lose.

The much maligned Elliott did well tonight. Hate seeing him and Garrick taking the first 2 hit ups out of end though.

Our back 3 offer nothing whatsoever. Jorge can't catch, Garrick no go forward and Elliott.... say no more. Des please blood some youngins. You never know they might just surprise you. Young kids today have so much confidence and cockiness but they will want to play well to stay in first grade.

I need to take a video of my 10yr old clad in his PJs and his manly jersey. He just did exactly this saying “dad Garrick always does this (jink) every time and gets smashed back. At least Jorge does this (bursts forward) and makes some meters”. Yes son that’s true. Lol

Really happy to see Cust have such a strong game. Thought he had a very strong debut season but once he fell out of the side through injury he never really got back in. Always thought he needed a solid run of games in the halves to show what he could do, and I'd hate to see him lose the spot once Walker is healthy. He's going to be a very good playmaker.

Solid win for a hit and run game. Glad we got the 2 points. Some blokes down on form, Garrick and jet ski most notably.

Rotating some players in would be a good idea I think.

thankfully our halves, Jake, sirro and starting props kept their cool and were professional.

That was a decent performance. They played a desparate team on a cow paddock, words fail me on how poor that playing surface was. Again had to overcome a questionable call from Horsehead which would have put the team well clear and showed resilience to hang on at the end of the first half and first 15 minutes of the second half.

Great game by Cade Cust who really did some wonderful things with the ball, made a try for DCE and scored a great solo try into the bargain. Finally we see our halves create and Levi also deserves special mention for a great try and also some good kicking from dummy half. This is just what DCE needs. It really takes the pressure off him..

At times we were on the back foot in this game, They seemed to roll through the ruck with ease but they lacked polish and their biggest threat was kicks.

The team is under manned and they are grinding things out and there is a bit more polish now. These are good signs for the team when we get Dylan and Tommy back.

It was a must win game and job well done!!
