So Harper for starting Fullback for the trial. As it's a trial I would expect most players will be interchanged at some point.

I don't dislike that decision, as I think Harper is a talented youngster, and I like the idea of him expanding his repertoire.

It both increases his value to the team as an immediate depth-option across more than just Centre (which we have Suli, Walker, Parker, Funa, maybe Burbo), and also hopefully increases his desire to remain at the club to both develop his game (and marketability/value) and also train his footy brain (thinking from different positional perspectives).

I recall we did similar things with a couple of the Wright brothers as our backline hole-pluggers - from the games I saw the Wrights were bog-average wherever they lined up. Having a player with Harper's potential as a floating backline resource might be a really positive thing!

Can't wait to get through this game with no injuries, and some highlights to get excited about! If we sustain injuries then in my mind we lose regardless of the result.

Given our injury problems over the past couple of years it might be time to put a Hindu in charge. At least we'd have a selection of gods to call on.
Calves blood would be out of the question then though
