It got a bit close for comfort when the chooks scored 3 in 5 minutes. If they let in more points chasing a Mickey Mouse preseason challenge then I would've been filthy.
Almost half the starting team was subbed off.

Depends on how tomorrow's game's go I guess. Somehow I get the feeling the Panthers are going to run all over St Helens tomorrow night.....

It would be dumb to try silly offloads early on that costs us possession and trys then lose the game, but we had 20 offloads

The first 50 minutes were very good. Our defence was great and not withstanding them getting six agains we were resilient in defence. We missed two scoring opportunities in the first half, one with Garrick no diving early enough and Koula not off loading. We really need to score those tries. I thought John’s kicking game fell away in the second half and our defensive went to sleep in the second half again. Things to work on but looking good.
Yes just as they out their guns back on , we took ours off , the difference was instantly apparent.
So what I saw tonight
Gordon when available has to be in our 17
He can handle first grade even half of the game
Still think shoeman is not our right 6
The whole team looked together and hungry whatever Anthony has done over summer looked good from that perspective.
I still think we are a year or 2 away from challenging but there is the makings of a good team there.
We are still at full strength behind Panthers eels roosters and storm and south's, not in that top bracket of teams yet
I think a successful season from my perspective get 6th or 5th home final at Brookvale then who knows
Enjoyable pre season 2 trips to Gosford in 2 weeks and seeing us win live twice enjoyable.
Enjoyable ride back on the train to Sydney.
Brookvale oval will be a sellout I think for round 1 and 3 against the eels.

Nah **** em. Especially Boofhead Captain Jake tonight, that was his job to lead em tonight, and he's all laughing about how he didn't do any offloads all game.
We can't say they deserve the money or the title. They might have done all the hard work, they easily could have won it. But it's the same old story with Jake and this group. They didn't. Instead found a way to **** it up, and then laugh about it.
We can't lose on points.
