And thought Dylan walker is going to be the next 2005 Benji, im going to play him at half back. Also, we are going to give him a contract in case DCE ever retires. Unlike you lot i think Des is right.

Do not write him off yet, hes still young there is plenty of time for des to mold him into a Jamie Lyon type player who won us 2 premierships. I know at least one other coach thought the same thing.

It's all academic now but I can't help but wonder how this seventeen would have gone against the Raiders. Garrick scores that try for sure, and he wouldn't have dropped the ball cold like Suli did. Walker had been playing well off the bench. We should have continued with that. Only two changes to the side from the week before. We had two backup fullbacks and one backup halfback in the 21. Ideally we use those players in their best positions. Koula V Savage would have been worth seeing definitely. I just don't get the team selection.

We have a winner. The exact team I would have chosen.

Well done!!

Everyone keeps saying how good a utility walker is... imo he can only cover centre and #13 (if we have a good lead already). He has not proven himself at fullback or in the halves and can't cover hooker!

He looked so afraid to pass the ball in the first half. That is a concern.

And the first two games he came on in a roving roll he was ok but the games were done and dusted by then.Last week he came on earlier against the Dogs and was fairly pedestrian. The way the game is played these days,it maybe suited to have that sort of player on the bench but Lawton can do that job and he can cover 9 too.But given the backlash the new rules are receiving,I suspect they’ll tinker with them again and it’ll better to have 3 big boppers and a utility as your bench

No question Dylan had a poor game. Running across field and hogging it almost every time he ran it! Geez I wanted to throw something at the TV. Yes that’s how he scored his try and I was telling myself, “hopefully he’s setting them up for later in the game, when the defense will expect him to continue to go himself but he’ll draw them in and offload….. but no”.
I think it was late in the 2019 season when he was playing in the #6 and I thought he was really showing good signs of developing into a top line playmaker.
He’s obviously very talented and all of the switching around positions doesn’t appear to suit him. I’m sure he’d just like to play Centre but our current starting centers are doing a great job and don’t deserve to be dropped. That means he has to play wherever he’s picked. He was doing really well at #14 so it was reasonably fair to give him a chance at the starting #7 with DCE out. Personally though, I’d have gone for Cust as he’s a specialist.
