“So I feel really lucky to be going there. I am also really looking forward to working with Bob Fulton. The guy is an immortal and a legend of the game. I just feel so privileged to get the opportunity to go to a club with such good people and a rich and proud history.’’

Pretty sure that was in the article.

No negatives from me,people can be totally different when they pull on the Manly Maroon and White,i think Fulton will have his measure and guide him to good things.cant wait:clap:

Jackson has spent alot of time around Jake Friend, yes Jake used to be a knob but he's turned into a great hooker so hopefully he has imparted some knowledge onto Jackson about this position.

Always felt this signing was a gamble worth taking. Initially I was a little sceptical and had the eye rolls happening.....but that was just a hangover from the rage at signing Uate and Jono Wright....in the cool light of day this guy has real potential and is worth a shot. Great utility value also and goalkicker.

In isolation certainly isn't a bad signing in the big picture. can safely say in this off season we've signed worse !!

Yes Don Corleone, but no mention of his dad being coached by Fulton. Which was my point.
My response was to Bozo's post who quoted the last paragraph of the post before his verbatim. I was not referring to your reply about his old man being coached by bozo. My point was more about Bozo's pointless post. :)

From today's What's the Buzz in the Daily Telegraph:

CAN HASTINGS GROW UP?
JACKSON Hastings celebrated his 21st birthday last week with a small party among his friends and family. The Manly Sea Eagles recruit celebrated the milestone with about 40 people at his family home on the South Coast.

It is hard to believe Hastings is so young and Manly are hoping his “coming of age’’ celebration will deliver them a more mature player than the halfback that ruffled feathers during his stint with the Roosters.

Hastings has admitted he didn’t show senior players the respect they deserved and truly looks to have learned his lesson.

Hastings may well prove to be the year’s best signing.

From scrapheap to starter

A month ago Jackson Hastings’ NRL career looked to be over – now the former Roosters halfback has become the favourite to start the season in the Manly team – at hooker.

A specialist halfback, Hastings has one huge factor in his favour in his bid to get a regular top grade spot at Manly – an 83 per cent goalkicking success rate.

With Jamie Lyon retired, Manly are suddenly in need of a reliable goalkicker for the first time in many years.

Hastings won’t be able to get a spot in the halves at Manly with Daly Cherry-Evans and Blake Green filling those spots.

But he is likely to oust the talented Apisai Koroisau from the hooking spot for the start of the season.

All is not lost for Koroisau however, he is likely to be 14th man and will be dynamic from the bench.
