Can’t argue with those stats but I thought his 42 tackles including a few bell ringers in the opening 20 minutes set the tone for the first half before we lost the two backs and had forwards playing in the centres…we still should not have lost that match .

I agree.
Interesting with Jake, he's apparently never been a keen trainer.
As players age, preparation and fitness become more and more important.
If he wants to add value for another couple of seasons at Manly I hope he will change his attitude to fitness.
If he does he can still be a great benefit to the team (there's plenty of older forwards in NRL still playing well)

Hard one with Jake , showed on the weekend that he can still provide some really impressive defensive input but even if a bit more enthusiastic taking the ball up , can only expect a few continuing limitations there .
Some logic that he should just mainly revert to a prop role but guess that what he has essentially been doing for some time now interchanging with guys like Brown and others
T K O , Bully [ one should surely hope by now ] , possibly Sipps and probably just an outside chance with Lodge into next season .Not sure at least in the early stages with Bryan and any other young up and comers in the system post 25 [ or already in it ] .
Then Jake into the mix but the vexing question to continue , having a fully capable 13 then ongoing to be an upgrade on currant arrangements there .

Totally 100% agree.
Anything beyond 2026 for me would be viewed as greed as their aspiration for silverware is now finished.
The club needs to move on and Waddell and Burbo can also have that UK family holiday.
