Jamie Humphreys

Yeah I can’t believe Manly didn’t keep paying him for around 5 yrs or so before he’s finally playing decent and consistent at the age of 26.Cronulla must be thinking the same
He played well last season too you old fart. He’s always been a big talent.

Thanks for the “intelligent” retort. Yes,he’s always had the talent, but do you continually keep paying a player until he eventually comes good? Especially given the fact that Manly had DCE. Cronulla let him go too, twice. He only played 7 games for the Warriors last season.By your reckoning,Manly should still have Schuster in their squad

Yeah I’m not reading that mate. Tell someone who cares

Ha its like one paragraph.

Anyhoo on Humphrey's, always seen him as just solid despite all the media hyped.

Not shocked he was dropped to the bench.

Performing slighty above my expectations. Didnt have him permanently nailing the 7 jersey.

That said, he's performances are about what I expected. Solid, gets through his work, but for him just not enough in his game to be a long term impactful half.

10 try and line break assists this season. For reference Brooks, who some want rid of has 26.

For reference the man he replaced in Ilias who only has 7 games this year has 8.

Humphries is still a young fella, a rookie in his first season of NRL. I don’t know if he’ll ever be an elite half (how many guys actually are?) but I think he has the makings for a quality steady starting half in this league.

Hard runner, strong in contact defensively and has a nice boot on him. I’m personally giving the kid more time to develop, and would still honestly want him at Manly just for options/competition sake behind our current and future aging halves.

Well said. I'm sure we all want him to do well.

Truthfully i would have preferred him as our back up half option rather then Arthur... but then again I do eat a lot of sausage rolls so what would I know 🤔
