Joel Thompson

I said it in the game day thread. Whichever side of the field DCE plays, his second rower always see's a lot more of the ball in attack.

DCE has played on our left the past two games and its no coincidence to me that Thommo has looked so much better now that he's actually being used as more than just a defensive workhorse.

We have good attacking back rowers. Thommo, Lane, Siro when not injured and even Frank if he could ever keep hold of the damn ball. But we need to use them in attack as more than just decoy runners.

If you've got it, flaunt it.

Most definitely his best game for the club
His combination with DCE is getting better which in return gives DCE more confidence to use him more like how he was going with Sironen knowing he will hit that hole in attack

Wow, I just realised the difference walker has mad opposed to Croker. I had full faith in Croker and seeing him develop but watching walker come in for the past 2 weeks and actually take the reins, it's given DCE just that little bit of space and direction.

***Any word on hodko? Imagine a specialist in this position and walker now up on confidence, back out in his preferred position.

Joel Thompson, well done, especially in the indigenous round.
what that tells u is that if they have the right mindset and a reason to win they will win.
TB needs to instill that mentality for 26 rounds .
yes we will loose some games but they wont go down without at fight with an that like effort.

Joel Thompson finally hit form for us on Saturday night and didn't he have a big one. The whole pack looked eager and hungry for metres.l I hope they can keep it up.
