Josh Aloiai

I feel his signing had more to do with keeping the group happy and cohesive. He's a very respected and influential person especially to the Polynesian players who see him as their leader, and surely Seibold didn't want to upset the group. Having said that though, his form this year has been his best, apart from some brain snaps. Let's hope he continues that form for the rest of his contract.

Actually don’t mind this. He has actually improved a lot this year and I dare say we would have signed him on a cut priced deal. He was on 600k before and we were trying to offload him at the start of the year.
The front office have been savvy with salary cap management over the last 6 months so I’d say it’s at a good price.

I doubt we could get a better player. Why would anyone want to come and play here?

His heart is in the right place.

Along with Paseka and Sipley we ain't going to get anything different.

It's not good enough but it could be worse.

I like him and while he has done a few silly things i think some people have taken issue with jersey gate

Has a drop ball in him

He's now contracted for longer than Jake, DCE, Turbo, Paseka, Sipley... (and Seibold of course)
So the club must see him as important to the culture of the place ... which I must say surprises me somewhat.
He has played better this year, although dumb suspension hurt us.p

Mate, can I ask you then, what IS out culture? What's our identity?

Secondly, we've let Schuster go (paying for him for 3 years), Humphreys go. Lawton im okay with (just disappointed he's finally showing some consistency now).

But apart from our culture and identity, a 3rd question would be, what's our recruitment and retention strategy?

Particularly given 10 years of crap has just transpired.

We paid Schuster $1 million and cancelled the final 3 years of his contract not 3 years at 850k.

Yes. That is what we are doing. Paying Schu to play for another club for the next 3 years. Crazy

If he goes to The Panthers to replace Luai, he'll trim RIGHT down and absolutely cook with those forwards around him. The Chooks is another option. What other Sydney club(s) would be the one he's playing for?

Who we got: Tigers, Eels, Bunnies, Dragons, Dogs, Sharks, Chooks and Panthers. Will be very interesting.

No chance he gets picked up by Riff or Drizzle... those teams trade in effort not "potential"...

Goldy (Des), StMerge (Flanno), Eels (they love our leftovers) or Perth (desperate) would be my guesses...
