Kayaks

I'm thinking of purchasing a kayak in January. I've done quite a few paddles using hired or friends kayaks so feel it's time to get my own.

Anyone got any advice as to what to make/model to buy? I'm leaning towards a "sit in" rather than a "sit on top", I have tried both. Will be used on the Pittwater, Hawkesbury River etc.

I have been thinking about getting one with pedals for a while for fishing. Matilda kind of put a stop to it, but I certainly think its worth considering having the pedal control to make it more versatile

Dan, yeah a mate of mine has a Hobi kayak with drop in pedals. Goes well, good work out for your quads!

Im more the use it for fishing type, I used a friends and without the peddles it made landing a decent fish difficult. Actually it made landing any fish difficult. being able to hold the rod and pedal made life much easier

I put a deposit down on a sea kayak (Prijon Prilite Marlin).

Pick it up on Saturday woohoo 🙂
